ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Your Gateway to Learning

1. Valid Government Photo ID (Driver's License, Identification Card, School ID, Passport, Alien Card)

2. Social Security Card

3. LiveScan Fingerprint

4. Basic Knowledge of:

  • Computer's operating system (macOS or Windows)

  • Word Processing

  • Sending and receiving emails with attachments

  • Internet access with a high-speed broadband connection

5. Internet service provider for home access and/or access from work (must have prior to start of the course)

6. Access to a quiet learning environment

7. Students must be able to video conference in real-time. Appropiate equipment should include:

  • Camera (could be built into the laptop)

8. An office suite tool such as Google Docs

9. Course may require special plug-ins to access streaming media, PDF files, or other web components


*Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CDPH has waived the medical requirement until the state of emergency is lifted. The nurse assistant shall complete the medical requirements (Physical & Tuberculosis Test) as soon as practicable but no later than 30 days after the expiration of the state of emergency.* (Title 22 CCR section 71835 (f)) / (HSC sections 1337(b), 1337.2, 1337.6(a)(3), and 1338.5)

NOTE: CDPH (California Department of Public Health) evaluates criminal convictions for any offense  and either grants or denies certification based on criminal record clearance. Failure to obtain background clearance prohibits students from obtaining a CNA certification.

CDPH will review LiveScan/DOJ results and determine if the individual is "cleared" or "not cleared"; and send the individual a letter explaining the results. 

If at anytime during the students training or after completion of the program and or after passing their competency test receive notification from the California Department of Public Health that they have been disqualified from certification, SacMed Training is not obligated to provide any monetary refund for services provided.
